Raw materials: 750 grams of pork shoulder, 1 large glass of leche, oil, 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 7 medium potatoes, salt, pepper

When you add leche at the end, suddenly your lunch gets great flavor and some much needed acidity from the tomatoes. But let’s go back to the beginning. Clean the potatoes and cut them into smaller cubes. Do the same with the meat. Also leave some fat on it as it will melt while cooking and give your food a great taste. Cut the onion and garlic into small pieces. Now transfer everything to the tray and mix. Add oil, salt and pepper. Spread the mixture over the entire surface so that it is well baked. Pour some water on the food and put it in the oven. When the meat is already soft, mix in leche and let it cook for ten minutes. Instead of the ready mix, you can also use fresh tomatoes and peppers.

Baked goulash

Raw materials: 500 grams of pork shoulder, 2 sausages, eggplant, leek, canned beans, 2 tomatoes, 1 garlic, 4 potatoes, salt, pepper, oil, fresh thyme, bay leaf, sour cream

Goulash is one of the favorite dishes of Slovaks. You can prepare it in different ways and you will never get tired of it. For example, have you heard of its baked version? It will surprise you with distinctive flavors that will also improve the juiciness of the meat. To start, cut the shoulder into cubes and the sausage into rounds. Move them to the tray and start adding the other ingredients. Cut the eggplant into strips and cut them into small cubes. You can swap it for pumpkin or squash. Now add the beans, thinly sliced ​​leeks, pureed garlic and peeled and sliced ​​potatoes. Mix everything and season with salt and the aforementioned herbs. Finally, drizzle with oil. Cut the tomatoes into rounds and spread them on the surface of the other ingredients. Cover the top of the tray with aluminum foil and let it bake. After half an hour, put it so that the juice evaporates and the food has a better consistency. When serving, garnish with a spoonful of sour cream.

Raw materials: 750 grams of pork shoulder, a mixture of root vegetables, 2 onions, beer, 2 tablespoons of plain flour, oil, salt, black pepper

Cut the shoulder into larger pieces. Put oil in a pot or slow cooker and put it on the stove. When it is heated, add the meat to it and fry it vigorously. Then pour flour into the pot and cook it together for a while. Remove the pot from the oven. Cut the onion and various types of root vegetables into smaller pieces. Add these to the baking dish and mix everything together. Finally, pour the wine, season with salt and pepper. Cover the finished mixture and put it in the oven. Bake slowly at a lower temperature so that the meat melts nicely when eaten.

If you don’t want to stick the živánské on a grill, just make it as a mixture in a baking dish. Cut all the mentioned ingredients into approximately equal pieces and mix them in a baking dish. Season them with salt and black pepper. Mix mustard with water and pour it over the meat mixture. Then just put the tray in the oven and bake until the meat is tender. You can also make Živánska in a vegetarian way. First, soak the soybean meat in the hot broth and then mix it with onions, potatoes, smoked or marinated tofu and carrots after straining. In this case, be sure to season it with herbs and you can bake it.

Baked pork with pasta

Raw materials: 500 grams of pork shoulder, 10 pieces of mushrooms, 300 grams of cooked pasta, 250 grams of cheese, 1 whipped cream, onion, oil, salt, pepper, smoked paprika.

First, fry the shoulder in a pan in oil. When it is done, salt it, season it and sprinkle it with paprika. Now add onion cut into small pieces to it and boil everything together for some time. First pour the pasta into the dish, add the meat mixture and the mushrooms cut into small pieces. Mix everything together with the cream. Sprinkle the top of the dough with cheese and bake in the oven.

Meat baked in sauerkraut

Raw materials: 1 kilogram of sauerkraut, onion, oil, 500 grams of pork shoulder, 2 eggs, a handful of breadcrumbs, garlic, salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon of tomato puree

Finely grind the shoulder this time. Add eggs, breadcrumbs, crushed garlic to it and season it. Mix everything and make medium sized balls. Fry the chopped onion in the oil until translucent. Put sauerkraut on it and boil it for a while. Then mix the tomato puree, add some water and cook together for five minutes. Remove it from the oven and transfer it to the baking tray. Arrange the meatballs on top and you can bake it in the oven.
