20-25 SERVINGS, PREPARATION 30 MINUTES, BAKING 35 MINUTES

You need:

For the dough:

  • 4 eggs
  • 250 g of granulated sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 cup oil (250 ml)
  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 300 g semi-raw flour
  • 200 g of ground poppy seeds
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • currant jam to spread

For the completion:

  • 150 g of 54% chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

APPROACH

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs with both sugars until light foam, add oil, yogurt and mix gently. Pour the flour, poppy seeds, baking powder and mix everything well.
  2. Pour the mixture into a greased and half-floured baking sheet, spread evenly and place in an oven heated to 180°C for approximately 35 minutes. After baking, let the cake cool for 10 minutes and spread sour currant jam on it while it is still warm. Let cool completely.
  3. Melt the chocolate together with the butter over steam and pour it on the cake. Spread evenly, let it harden for a while and you can cut.
