The best grilled meatballs – ingredients

  • 300 g of ground chicken (turkey) meat
  • 300 g of minced lean pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs to thicken (we can omit)
  • to taste: 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1 tablespoon mustard, ground red pepper, crushed cumin, ground black pepper, salt, herbs (to taste)

The best grilled meatballs, simple and juicy – recipe procedure

  1. Grind chicken (turkey) and pork until fine. If we don’t like pork, we just choose chicken or turkey. Add egg, finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, mustard to the minced meat and season as needed (ground red pepper, crushed cumin, ground black pepper, salt). Finely chopped fresh herbs (parsley, chives) are also a great choice, the meatballs will be even tastier and easier to digest. If necessary, thicken with breadcrumbs (you don’t need to).
  2. Let the meat mixture rest in the cold for at least an hour. We form balls from the mass with wet hands, which we press into thicker cakes. Place the meatballs on a heated griddle or grill. Grease the grate on the grill or the pan with oil in advance. Grill – grill on all sides as needed. When the meat becomes half white, it will be brown on the bottom, then turn it over and cook it on the other side as well. The meatballs are served hot, but also cold. An excellent side dish is fresh or grilled vegetables.

Final tip: Prepare the meat a day in advance. The taste of meat and spices combine beautifully. At the same time, you will save time in front of the grill.
