The first apple cakes of this season: With almonds, with snow and sour cream

These three cakes come from different corners of Europe, each a little different and all delicious thanks to the most traditional cake fruit.

The apple season started with early apples already at the end of August. Since we in the editorial office cannot pass up good apple pies, at the beginning of September we tried three new recipes for excellent apple pies and we are very happy to share them with you.

Apples are a wonderful fruit that accompanies us all year round thanks to their long shelf life and should not be missing from any fruit container, healthy snack package or morning smoothie, especially during the colder months. You can find out what benefits you can get from them in a short video:

Apples are good for health, but for us amateur confectioners, they are mainly fascinating as an all-purpose dessert fruit. They are suitable for cakes, desserts, puddings and non-baked desserts. They are available all year round, are cheap and can always inspire you to prepare a delicious treat that will soon be dusted off.

Today we offer you recipes for the first three apple trees of this season.

Tarte aux pommes: an excellent and world-famous apple cake from Normandy in the northwest of France. There are several versions of this excellent apple pie, but all with slight variations are made from soft butter dough, almond filling and a crown of finely chopped apples.

Cider with snow: we are not sure of the origin of these apple slices, but we are proud to include them among the Slovak classics. Someone prepares them on a delicate dough, someone cooks the apple filling separately. For us, it is easiest to bake this cake in three stages: first the body, then the body with freshly grated apples, and finally we bake it with egg white snow. Delicacy!
